Chapter 81 is a "10/10" debut. It successfully erases the bad taste of the anime filler arcs and re-establishes the series as a legitimate sequel to Naruto Shippuden. It creates immediate tension: Boruto is back, but he cannot go home.

The dynamic between Boruto and Code was flipped entirely on its head.
