Review Subtitle Indonesia: Nonton versi sub indo-nya oke banget. Translasi untuk scene emosional dan dialog kocak si Professor Kim (pakar tsunami) akurat, jadi joke-nya nyangkut dan momen sedihnya berasa. Nggak ada yang aneh atau lost in translation, jadi enak dinikmati.

Hal yang Menonjol:

  1. Karakter Kuat: Nggak cuma hancuran gedung, tapi konflik manusianya kuat. Terutama hubungan ayah (Man-sik) dengan anak perempuannya, dan sacrifice yang dilakukan para pria dewa-dewi cintanya.
  2. Plot Twist Surabaya: Ini sih favorit gue! Ada plot twist yang nyambung ke gempa di Surabaya tahun 2004. Bikin makin "serem" dan nyambung sama riset di film.
  3. Campur Tepat: Perpaduan antara drama keluarga, komedi ringan, dan tragedi dahsyat. Pas di awal kita ketawa, di akhir bisa nangis berair.

Kekurangan: Durasi agak panjang (sekitar 2 jam), jadi harus sabar di menit-menit awal yang banyak dialognya. Tapi pay-off di akhir worth it banget.

Kesimpulan: Wajib nonton! Kalau kalian suka film bencana kayak The Day After Tomorrow atau 2012, tapi mau versi Korea yang banyakin drama keluarga, Tidal Wave pilihannya. Siapkan tissu karena ending-nya beneran tear-jerker.
